I had a mix-up with my tire installation. My tires were delivered to the Costco Tire Center in Gaithersburg, but I accidentally scheduled the installation at a different location. When I asked the Gaithersburg team if they could squeeze me in, the response felt pretty cold. So I called the Costco Tire Center in Wheaton, and the experience was completely different. The team there was understanding, helpful, and professional. They told me to come over and said they would try to have the car ready within two hours. They did exactly that. Really appreciate the Wheaton team for turning a frustrating situation into a great customer service experience

Tire installation. A bit of a line even with scheduled appointment. Waiting area only has three seats. A customer and the manager were having an argument which wasn’t pleasant to hear but I guess unavoidable due to the small space. Took an hour and a half to finish, they called/texted. I requested the old tires be put in my trunk, looks like they did it carefully, no scuff to interior. I’ll try some other Costco tire centers around the area as this one was a bit chaotic and the wait time was longer than average.

Great experience at Wheaton Costco Tire Center! I was inquiring about replacing 4 Michelin tires (on sale!) for my Nissan Rogue and front desk guy (sorry forgot your name) found last 4 brand new in stock and squeezed me in on a Wednesday evening. After less than an hour, all 4 beautiful tires were newly installed with no problems! I would say go there on a weeknight and receive better individual attention on your vehicle. I have encountered a number of times where weekends take the whole day to get your vehicle back. Plus the next day, I realized I charged it on a different card than Costco Visa which will give me rewards. They transacted successfully with no issues. Thank you Wheaton!

Extremely poor experience at the Costco Tire Center in Wheaton, Maryland. As an Executive Member, I expected at least a basic level of professionalism, but the service I received was unacceptable. The customer service representative, Javier, was dismissive from the start. I asked for a simple update so my preferred name—already correctly displayed in my Costco app—would appear on my tire service documents. Instead of helping, he repeatedly refused and redirected me elsewhere without justification. It was clear he was not interested in resolving the issue. The supervisor, Lina, made the situation worse. She maintained a condescending and mocking attitude the entire time, laughing and making gestures during the interaction. That level of behavior from a supervisor is completely inappropriate. On top of that, they questioned the make of my own vehicle and insisted I was wrong until I had to show my registration to prove it. This should never happen in a professional setting. When I asked for a survey to provide feedback, I was told to find a QR code outside the store—which was nowhere to be found. That says a lot about how seriously they take customer concerns. I had my tires changed at this location last year, and two of them developed leaks. I brought them back for repair. My appointment was at 2:30 pm, but I dropped off the car around 2:10 pm. I was sitting in the customer service area when the service writer gave the ticket to a mechanic named Julien. It took him more than an hour and a half to even start working on my car. He put the car on the lift, went outside, came back in, and then stood around in the customer service area talking to other people. Meanwhile, other technicians finished their assignments quickly. This was a terrible experience, and the service still wasn't finished when I left. I would strongly recommend avoiding this place if you need your vehicle serviced promptly. It took more than 2 hours to finalize, and they gave me back my car at 4:30 pm.
